Alpha 1 - Combat Update!
It's been a long time since the game's release, so after a long break, I present the Combat Update!
The update introduces new items, mobs, rooms and the combat system. The changes made in this update are listed below.
Alpha 1
- What's new?
+ New rooms added: red chest room and 5 other rooms.
+ Added option to disable screen shake.
+ Added counter of received/dealt damage.
+ Polish language added.
+ The settings menu has been slightly changed.
+ Added settings menu during the game.
+ When the second player is far from the first player, he will teleport to the first player.
+ Added knockback for player and mobs after taking damage.
- Items
Weapons
+ Copper pickaxe - Starting weapon
Deal 1-3 damage, critical damage 3-5
+ Iron Pickaxe - Search in Chests
Deal 3-5 damage, critical damage 4-8
+ Golden Pickaxe - Expensive but fragile
Deal 1-2 damage, critical damage 2-3 (chance to lose an item)
Items
+ Added Dynamite (It has twice the blast power of a bomb)
+ Added Bandages (Heal 15 HP)
+ Added Stone (another junk item, drops from spikes when destroyed)
- Mobs
Enemies
+ Bat - They are found everywhere except in the jungle biome. They only attack on the Stone biome.
DMG: 4 HP: 8
+ Stone Snail - They can be found in the stone biome. It does not attack the player unless it is attacked. He loves to eat Slime. Slimes are afraid of Stone Snails, so they will try to run away from them. It is resistant to height fall and spikes. After hitting it, it hides into the shell and rolls very quickly towards the player. Its shell has a lot of health. (DO NOT ATTACK THEM, THEY ARE YOUR FRIENDS!)
DMG: 20 HP: 30 Shield HP: 300
Other mobs changes
+ Now there are more mobs in the rooms
+ Mobs disappear beyond the player's reach
+ The sound of hitting mobs has been added
- Objects
+ Added Red Chest (Much rarer and harder to find, better items.)
- Fixed Bugs
+ Fixed incorrect file names displayed on the screen when starting the game.
+ The second player can now complete the game.
+ The first and second players cannot fall behind the map after death if one of the players was far away from the player being followed by the camera.
+ Fixed a bug where a player far from the bomb explosion would take damage.
+ Fixed a bug that allowed restarting the game with the other player still alive.
+ Fixed a bug that allowed a dead player to finish the game.
+ Fixed arrows above players, now when paused, they will not move and will not overlap the game interface.
+ Fixed issue with looping game transitions, causing large fps drops on weak devices.
+ Fixed the display of the E button above chests after opening them (and a strange bug that caused the icon to appear looping, causing fps to drop).
+ Now when the game is paused, the player's walking animation does not play.
+ Fixed bug with incorrect color of item descriptions in inventory after loading the game.
+ After death, the player can no longer change items in their inventory.
+ Mobs are no longer behind objects, but in front of them.
+ Fixed a bug that would not give the player exp if the mob was killed by a bomb.
- Other changes
+ Removed the window for the first launch of the game asking for the save location.
+ Removed the ability to save files to the game folder. (Now the default folder is AppData (for Windows).)
+ Removed the ability to change the save location from the "Other" tab in the settings.
+ Removed the ability to change render distance (useless option).
+ Updated font with some new marks.
+ Changed the range of receiving damage from bomb explosions.
The next update will add lighting, particles, small details to change the gameplay and bug fixes, there are LOTS OF THAT.
